Soil Mechanics Laboratory
For many years ago, the Soil Mechanics and Foundations Research Laboratory has been keen in maintaining its leading role in the Civil Engineering research and industry. The IUT soil mechanics lab has its remarkable contribution in all fields of Geotechnical Engineering. The purpose of this laboratory is to support the training and high-level research work within the field of geotechnics and soil mechanics.
Below is a list of some tests which can be done in this laboratory:

Moreover, there is a geotechnic field lab in IUT, which can conduct some large scale test, like:

· SPT
· Large scale shear test
